ATAL TINKERING LAB

                                                                             

 

 

Furnished with all the essential equipment and gadgets, ATL brings in the fun element while learning STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) concepts and also helps develop and maintain a scientific temper among our students.

 

OBJECTIVES

 

The objective of this scheme is to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in young minds and inculcate skills such as design mind-set, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing, rapid calculations, measurements etc. Young students are given chance to work with tools and equipment to understand what, how and why aspects of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math).

 

OUR ATL - Particulars

 

The Ideal space to host tinkering Lab is 1500 sq.ft / 1000 sq.ft in built up space. The existing facilities for meeting room & Video conferencing among others can be used to supplement the laboratory space. These labs are dedicated works spaces where the students of class 6th to 10th learn innovation skills and develop ideas that will go on to transform India. The labs are powered to acquaint students with state of art equipment such as 3D printers, Robotics & Electronics Development tools, IOT and Sensors etc.

 

The Lab Activities are designed to spur the spark of creativity, and go beyond regular curriculum and text book learning. The labs will let students explore skills of future such as design and computational thinking, adaptive learning and artificial intelligence.

 

* Our ATL is near the main building of our school.

 

* Our lab has proper ventilation, storage facilities - drawer's cup board, storage boxes for tools etc.

 

* We have good power supply for the effective functioning of the instruments, computers, projector etc.

 

* Basic infrastructure setup like fans, air conditioners, proper lighting, and multiple plug points & have a Wi-Fi zone in the Lab.

 

* In addition to that, we have an Interactive White Board in our ATL.

 

* We have basic furniture i.e., tables & chairs.

 

* We have light weight chairs which are easy to move for flexible seating arrangements.

 

* We can accommodate 50 - 60 students at a time and we have large tables where all the activities could be demonstrated.

 

* We have proper locking and security system in lab to ensure safety of the tools at all times.
